Fact:
PTPTN loan repayment is a form of debt obligation and thus needs to be included in the calculation of debt service ratio (DSR), which is one criterion is assessing borrower eligibility. If a borrower is able to repay non-PTPTN debts but defaults on the PTPTN loan, then it is acceptable for banks to take this fact when considering the loan application. For PTPTN borrowers, banks typically wants to see proof of monthly PTPTN repayments, or the approved rescheduling of PTPTN loan repayment, either of which may affect application processing turnaround time. Regardless, if the borrower passes the affordability assessment, banks will generally approve the loan.
